Responsible for providing high quality reception services to patients and visitors. Responsible for answering the telephone in a courteous and professional manner, scanning pertinent patient data into the electronic medical record, checking patients in and out, verifying patient insurance and referrals, collecting payments and scheduling appointments. Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times.

High school diploma plus one year experience performing related functions in a doctor’s office. Excellent communication and people skills. Experience in a “fast paced” ambulatory setting is desirable, but not essential. Training in electronic health records is desirable but not required. Willingness to learn new skills and apply as deemed appropriate by the assigned supervisors.
