  • Overview

    Responsibilities include setting up and adjusting audio-visual equipment, performing routine maintenance, and assisting in editing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.   Responsible for research and development of media plans, identifying target audience, and ideal media outlets. Recommends media mix and frequency as appropriate to budget and objectives. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.

    Responsibilities

    Administer the PRMM scheduling and recordings

     

    Maintain the recording equipment as needed

     

    Scheduling and operation of Video-teleconference events as needed

     

    Live-streaming of lectures and events via U-stream as required

     

    Provide webinar set up and serve as assistant for live broadcast

     

    Operate video and audio equipment used to record lectures and meetings

     

    Manage and supervise scheduling of Media Service Engineers, including Time and Attendance

     

    Maintain equipment and conduct security checks

     

    Regular utilization of the scheduling system to access reports, schedule conference rooms and audiovisual equipment

     

    Provide audiovisual service for students, faculty, staff, and physicians throughout the school

     

    Provide support to the audiovisual services program by coordinator the delivery, setup and pick up of audiovisual equipment to and from classrooms, auditoriums, and other locations

     

    Operate and maintain various audiovisual and sound amplification equipment

     

    Instruct faculty, staff, and students on the use and availability of materials, equipment, care, operation and development of multimedia presentations

     

    Provide audiovisual service and support for off campus functions

     

    Troubleshoot equipment failure with changing lamps in data projectors

     

    Assist in PowerPoint Presentations for faculty and staff

     

    Maintain and troubleshoot copy machines

     

    Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree, certification or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in audio visual or conferencing services.
    • Works effectively with Microsoft Office systems.
    • Must have a working knowledge of personal computer (PC) hardware, operating systems, and common application suites such as Microsoft Office.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a competency in functions related to audio visual services.
    • A demonstrated ability to systematically analyze application problems; working knowledge of common troubleshooting techniques and tools used and a demonstrated ability to communicate well verbally and in writing is needed.
    • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well with others in high stress situations is required.
    • Must have experience supporting audio visual requirements of both internal and external venues.
