  • Overview

    The position of Interviewer is under the direct supervision of the director. A broad overview of the scope of responsibility for the wide variety of duties of this position includes the following.


    This is a temporary position.


    • Recruit prospective participants in accordance with protocol guidelines
    • Screen prospective participants for eligibility
    • Accurately record participant responses to study surveys
    • Work with project sponsor to perform data collection (i.e. interviews) and data management activities according to established guidelines
    • Attend site visits and conferences by phone and in-person meetings
    • Report all safety issues, field incidents, and adverse events within the specified timeframe to the PI
    • Ensure data security during data collection and transmission process by implementing protocol procedures with precision and securely maintain and transfer study data, files and correspondence to appropriate supervisor and/or collaborator(s)
    • Store, prepare, and transport supplies, materials, and equipment for use at field sites
    • Perform other duties as assigned


    Associate's degree plus 1 year of experience required.

    Practical public health experience is preferred. 

    Bachelor's degree is preferred.  HIV testing and counseling experience is preferred.  

    Knowledge of infectious and sexually transmitted diseases is desired

    Experience working with diverse populations, persons who inject drugs, and persons at high-risk for HIV infection is desired

    Motivated worker with the ability to think and work independently

    Have excellent organizational skills, strong collaborative skills, and exemplary communication skills

    Astute and detail-oriented professional with the ability to maintain confidentiality and data integrity
