The Secretary provides general administrative support for activities of personnel in the Office of Research. The Secretary will assist with data entry into databases, office communications related to grants and training, organization of protocols and files and contribute to the development of web resources and newsletters. The Secretary will be part of a team and interface with other staff in the Office of Research, Sponsored Programs and various Centers and Institutes.
This is a full-time temporary position.
Assist in the processing of research compliance materials related to animal and biosafety committee activities (new protocol submissions/revisions, amendments, annual reports, closure forms, and tissue forms, minutes)
Assist with updating files of current, closed, suspended, and/or terminated protocols.
Help to maintain training materials and track training by investigators. .
Provide administrative and writing assistance related to grant submissions.
Provide support to the research committee and student research programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma. Some administrative experience is required (i.e. knowledge of standard office equipment and clerical procedures). Experience in MS office suite.
