This is a transient position (less than 20 hours per week) for a medical assistant, providing outpatient nursing care for patients on weekends and holidays or as needed. This includes taking vitals, phlebotomy, stocking exam rooms, and on occasion assisting LPNs with patient care duties.

Greet patients in a courteous manner.
Triage and room Jones Institute patients. This includes but is not limited to obtaining vital signs, determining chief complaint and reporting to the physician.
Provide or assist LPNs and physicians with examinations, minor procedures, and educate patients regarding medication protocols.
Draw bloods for patients according to standing orders/protocol and document accurately in patients electronic health record.
Chaperons and assist providers and LPNs as requested.
Maintain clean, well-equipped examination rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a Medical assistant program (or equivalent military training) and certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) is required. Completion of AB-ROE modules will be accepted in lieu of certification.
