Providing a variety of data gathering, analysis and report writing to meet the needs of the Department of Risk Management
Maintains EVMS Risk Management Information System, or RMIS; generates a variety of reports from RMIS on routine basis and as requested.
Facilitates gathering documents from a variety of sources and organizations in response to litigation of EVMS claims and requests for production of documents and responding to interrogatories for litigation and subpoena dues tecum related to the claims management for the following:
Facilitates any requests for data mining of electronic communications, both internal and external, in response to requests for production of documents, responding to interrogatories and subpoena dues tecum as related to the claims management for the following:
Works with EVMS OGC, EVMS Medical Group and outside legal counsel’s personnel to provide the documentation and information as requested.
Creates and/or maintains spreadsheets for analysis by Director and/or Management.
Maintains Risk Management Department Intranet information and updates on a continuous basis. Work with Marketing and Communications to ensure information is current and provided in the correct format as required. Intranet information to include, but not limited to the following information;
Communication and interaction with external contacts including but not limited to insurance representatives, attorneys, physicians, vendors, hospital personnel, insurance brokers, etc.;
Communication and interaction with internal personnel including upper management, faculty, physicians, etc.
Setting up appointments and scheduling doctors for depositions/appointments with attorneys;
Complete summaries of closed claims
Other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office of Risk Management or the Director of Finance
Associates Degree. Three (3) years data gathering and data analytics experience. Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must Experience in accessing data from a variety of Web-based information systems, such as risk management information systems, incident reporting, and limited access to electronic medical records systems. High degree of confidentiality required. Customer service attitude required.
