The Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics gathers, prepares, transforms, maintains, analyzes, interprets, and reports on large amounts of institutional data for a wide-variety of stakeholders.
Collects, merges, cleans, documents, and otherwise prepares data from multiple disparate sources to generate multi-faceted dataset
Identifies, explores, and documents new sources for data
Produces and maintains documentation of data and finished products
Learns and navigates institutional resources to locate needed information
Leads the design and maintenance of business intelligence applications by identifying, researching and resolving technical problems
Evaluates existing tools and technologies and suggests the best tools (new or existing) available to be used
Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities
Directs and oversees high-level strategic and tactical decisions for business intelligence tools and applications
Facilitates organizational data strategies for governance, design, implementation, integration and usage.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information systems or related field and 7 years related experience with 3 years managerial experience. Master’s degree preferred.
