Assist physicians with patient care for the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in a clinical setting. Reporting of tests results, assessment of patient status, educational needs, and follow up care. Provides education for staff and assists with research studies.
Assist physicians on daily basis with exams, recording vitals, pelvic ultrasounds and performing various lab tests.
Assist with hydrosonograms and HSG’s.
Patient education and support.
Attend “Values” meetings daily with physicians.
Phone triage through electronic health record maintaining all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Patient teaching and administration of medications per physician orders.
Complete treatment plans, appointment and drug pre-authorizations.
Maintain clean, well equipped examination rooms assisting MA when needed.
Assist urologist with testicular aspiration procedure as needed.
Assembles and prepares equipment and supplies for procedures as required.
Maintains clinical competency in areas of responsibility to ensure quality patient care.
Maintains ongoing knowledge of billing and insurance protocols.
Promote the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the school and the department by becoming familiar with and complying with policies and procedures.
Contribute to the well-being of patients by serving as a positive role model and demonstrating a professional caring attitude towards co-workers, patients, and guests.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LPN with current Virginia License
One year of relevant nursing experience preferred. Must be a licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia.
