  • Overview

    The Grant and Contract Coordinator will manage grant and contract submission, provide administrative support, critical education, communications, and act as liaison between Grants Accounting and Sponsored Programs. Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to handle multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. Knowledge of MS Excel is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and assist faculty with grants and contracts submission from federal, state, corporate and private foundations for conformance with the sponsor and the Institution guidelines.

     

    • Responsibility for communicating the Institution policies and procedures to research support staff and Principal Investigators.

     

    • Manage and assist with creating, issuing and routing subcontracts, subagreements, modifications, confidentiality/nondisclosure agreements, and assist with clinical trial agreements as necessary.

     

    • Assist with contract and grant transfers from outside institutions, grant extensions, progress reports, Just-in-Time (JIT) request.

     

    • Act as liaison between Grants Accounting and Sponsored Programs including account releases

     

    • Serve as backup to all of Sponsored Programs staff
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of relevant experience required. One year in a sponsored research environment preferred. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education. Demonstrated experience with budgeting process.
