  • Overview

    This position applies quality assurance procedures to input and output, preparation and distribution, and scheduling of all processes in the central business information operation.


    Regardless of ones background, the selected candidate for this position must be coachable and open to additional training.




    • Ensure provision of quality, individualized services, educational consultation, technical assistance & instruction to users. .
    • Meet users and other service providers to coordinate scheduling of services. 
    • Work proactively with users to resolve problems and to ensure appropriate prioritization.
    • Complete and maintain all required documentation.
    • Provide administrative support to operations and staff, as well as key administrative support to operations.
    • Prepare correspondence, process office business documents.
    • Track reports to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations and procedures.
    • Perform data entry in relevant programs and databases, ensuring quality, quantity, and timeliness of all transactions; process and track all required related documentation.
    • Provide administrative support to the management and staff as required.
    • Respects departmental policies and procedures.
    • Guards all EVMS data as confidential under penalty of termination.

      • Position requires an Associates degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an information processing related area. Will accept equivalent combination of training/experience.
      • Position requires basic accounting skills. 
      • Experience with fundamental data processing concepts required. 
      • Must have excellent communications and prioritization skills in order to support application users and establish processing schedules.
      • Requires demonstrated organizational skills, proven initiative in proactively anticipating and identifying resolutions, and being responsive to users.
      • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population, including the faculty and staff.
      • Experience with a variety of office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.)
      • Experience working with application systems, databases and spreadsheets.
      • Incumbent must have considerable experience with desktop software including FTP, data warehousing interfaces, and batch processing concepts. 
      • Experience with accounting systems is a plus.
      • Experience with data entry software and MS Office Suite.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.  Specifically Excel and Access.
