The EVMS Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a board certified/board eligible plastic surgeon who has completed an ACGME-approved fellowship in hand surgery with subspecialty certificate or plans to seek a subspecialty certificate in surgery of the hand, at the Assistant Professor level to join our full-time academic faculty. Our practice is diverse and therefore, candidates should be interested in and capable of the full spectrum of plastic surgery including microsurgery. This is an excellent opportunity for the individual who wishes to pursue an area of interest in an academic environment. Faculty provide patient care, education and mentorship to medical students and residents. The position offers a great opportunity for research with laboratories available on campus. Collaborate with peers, faculty and support staff.
Participate in academic/clinical/research activities as needed.
Participate in committees as assigned.
Participate in administrative, department policy and procedure development.
Participate in clinical based research projects as needed.
Participate in education evaluation and career development of students, residents, fellows and staff.
Supervise staff under faculty supervision.
Provide physician care to patients in office/hospital setting.
Collaborate with Nursing, office staff, administration in patient care
Provide leadership and support by working with support staff, fellow researchers and other research collaborate to develop complete and report results.
