Overview

Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the information technology systems for EVMS. Duties include designing the basic computing infrastructure to accomplish key tasks, establishing networking rules for cybersecurity, monitoring/addressing to network security issues, and troubleshooting network errors and other technical issues.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with clients, vendors, management and other members of the IT team during the creation and maintenance of a system.
  • Assembly and deployment of computer hardware, operating system, and applications.
  • Analyze and suggest changes to test, production, and mobile computing environments.
  • Collaborate to assure knowledge development, sharing plus integration within as well as across all divisions of IT.
  • Monitors and analyzes Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation.
  • Recognizes potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.
  • Evaluates firewall change requests and assesses organizational risk.
  • Conducts regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and compliance with information systems security policies and procedures.
  • Tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise antivirus systems and software deployment tools.
  • Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure.
  • Serve as lead on IT projects, as needed.
  • Creating control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization’s quality standards.
  • Engaging in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational.
  • Developing a cost-efficient system for projects by performing a cost-benefit analysis.
  • Coach and provide guidance and training to junior systems engineers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Requires a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or related field.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Three (3) years’ experience in server deployment and support required.
