Eastern Virginia Medical School is seeking a Research Ph.D. for a full-time, tenure track salaried faculty position at the Associate Professor level.  EVMS is Southeastern Virginia’s premier medical education and research institution located in Norfolk’s historic Ghent neighborhood on an impressive and growing campus with access to world class hospitals and extensive core facilities.  We are seeking an outstanding individual with a strong track record of publications and a demonstrated ability or high potential for obtaining sustained extramural funding.  The successful applicant will be expected to integrate and collaborate with investigators in our institutional research centers.  Potential recruits should show an interest in both the underlying basic biology of disease, as well as translational research opportunities consistent with the overall vision of EVMS to be the most community-oriented school of medicine and health professions in the United States.  All exceptional candidates will be considered.
