Under the administrative direction of the Senior Associate Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at the Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University, the office coordinator will provide administrative support to various Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. They will also serve as an office coordinator to the Directors and Deans in the Department; be responsible for coordinating travel and making purchases; and be responsible for maintaining budgets and updating fiscal reports.
Candidate must have previous secreterial/administrative experience in an office setting.
Must have proficient computer skills and be able to learn new software applications. Basic decision-making skills, as well as math skills, use of a calculator, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, typing, and telephone skills required. Must be self-motivated, able to set goals and distinguish priorities. The division is funded by multiple grants and attention to detail is critical program/grant compliance.
