This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and interfaces daily with members of the offices of Admissions & Enrollment, Financial Aid and graduate programs in both Eastern Virginia Medical School and the EVMS School of Health Professions. Primarily responsible for strategic marketing communications in support of institutional enrollment goals with a focus on the customer journey and enrollment funnel. This is a fast-paced position responsible for developing, executing, tracking and reporting on program-and audience-specific enrollment marketing plans with an expectation of continued assessment to improve results and conversions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with graduate programs, MarComm, and the enrollment and admissions teams to develop and execute marketing strategies for prospective graduate student conversion across the applicant life cycle — from inquiry generation through student matriculation.
Develops and builds out multi-channel campaigns, leveraging the CRM and other communications channels — to include print and digital formats.
Creates and manages project/production schedules and approval cycles, and ensures all deliverables are on-time, on-budget and on-brand.
Manages CRM operational process for outbound nurturing campaigns by establishing best practices and recommending new CRMS tactics and features as appropriate.
Leads project management efforts in regard to enrollment marketing and works closely with MarComm graphic designers and videographers as well as outside vendors.
Ensures accurate, compelling and mobile friendly content with clear CTAs aligned with user behavior.
Manages multiple communications flows including, but not limited to, oriented collateral, email communications, web presence, video, and digital advertising.
Ensures that enrollment and admissions marketing endeavors reflect and communicate the Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University brand and messaging and adheres to brand standards.
Measures and reports out on pertinent campaign metrics, ROI, and performance of efforts on a regular basis to optimize marketing and communications strategies.
Keeps abreast of emerging trends in graduate program marketing and use this information to keep marketing approaches relevant and competitive.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field is preferred. Prior experience working with marketing analytics tools, content management systems and other distribution tools including web, email and social media applications. Experience in higher education is strongly desired. Prior enrollment management experience preferred.
