Perform various administrative duties, including answering phone, handling correspondence to includes subpoenas and scheduling meetings.
Manage physician calendars, schedule lectures and meetings accordingly, manage surgical postings, etc. Inform staff and physicians of any conflicting appointments.
Assist with scheduling clinic operations to include answering incoming calls, schedule appointments, and obtain demographic information to process into the E H R as needed.
Review, edit, and proof electronic dictations (physician office notes), fax office notes to referring physicians once completed.
Transcribe physician letters using dictaphone. Format and proof for grammar and punctuation.
Open and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
Attend to all legal matters keeping physicians informed of pending court cases. Set up depositions and times for court appearances.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations as needed.
Assist with manuscripts and journal articles as needed.
Assist with Surgery Scheduling as needed.
Assist with making travel arrangements, submit travel vouchers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Prior secreterial experience is highly preferred. Candidate should have experience with word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and database software. Experience with an EHR is a plus.
