We are seeking a compassionate, forward-thinking Palliative Medicine physician to join our Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine within the Department of Medicine at Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences, Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) at Old Dominion University (ODU).

What You’ll Do

As a faculty member, you will have the opportunity to:

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate palliative care in hospital and outpatient clinic settings
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, social work, and administrative partners
• Participate in and develop research and scholarly activities in Palliative Medicine
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners
• Support and expand clinical and training programs
• Work across Divisions, Departments, and regional hospitals to promote interdisciplinary care and program growth
• Contribute to institutional leadership through participation on a variety of committees

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible and fellowship-trained in Palliative Medicine
• Eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
• Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Holds an MD, DO, or MBBS
