Overview

The Associate Director of Strategy will spearhead the strategic development, execution, management, & sustainability of the HRBRC’s partnership & research initiatives & activities in support of the HRBRC’s mission to drive health equity and economic strength in Eastern Virginia. Supporting the vision of the HRBRC’s Executive Director, the Associate Director of Strategy will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, connect key players and resources, & coordinate programs & provide internal support to HRBRC operations

Responsibilities

Inform & direct development, implementation, and execution of strategic plans to
drive & support HRBRC mission and growth; identify merging trends, challenges &
opportunities; coordinate internally and externally to support.

 

Identify & pursue new funding opportunities via grants, partnerships, & collaborations
with (non)governmental industries; identify collaborative opportunities and connect
key resources to support.

 

Oversee & monitor scaling of existing programs to ensure alignment with HRBC
objectives & operations; develop & implement sustainability plans for programs &
initiatives to support long-term efficacy and viability.

 

Cultivate sustainable, effective, dynamic working relationships with partners,
collaborators, and internal & external stakeholders to drive positive & long-lasting
outcomes; foster organizational and professional development opportunities.

 

Other duties as assigned/delegated to support internal HRBRC operations both
internally and across partner institutions.

 

Represent the HRBRC across the community; work to develop impact & presence
profile; communicate & engage effectively to ensure transparency & alignment with
organizational values & objectives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s and/or Masters with comprehensive work experience; business administration/management, public health, health management, and/or related field(s)

 

Track record of successfully applying organizational management, strategy, and business development principles to transdisciplinary health research/non-profit; enthusiasm and drive for organizational and professional development and growth; experience with grant cycles, proposal development, and multi-level & institutional research in the health and data sciences; strong judgment & integrity; keen problem-solving & team-motivation skills

 

PMP or equivalent, strategic change management or related; desire to pursue
