This position is for an Assistant Professor - department of Medicine at Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University. This individual will be responsible for identifying, building, and maintaining relationships within the Greater Hampton Roads, VA communities that will serve as sources of study recruitment and participant retention. This individual will serve as the primary contact with the Alzheimer’s Clinical Trial Consortium Recruitment Engagement and Retention Unit (ACTC RER).
Doctoral degree, preferably in nursing, public health or related field. Academic background as a faculty (current or past) and professional experience within HBCUs, along with robust connections to the Black community - minimum of five years of experience
Demonstrate a track record of successful engagement with underrepresented populations through outreach programs. Be committed to community-engaged research as demonstrated through work within the previous five-year period
