The Administrative Secretary supports the Logistics Manager to schedule/reschedule staff, faculty, space, learners, and associated internal and external activities to meet the numerous projects and educational programs performed at and by the Center. This person interacts regularly with standardized patients (SPs), standardized patient educators (SPEs), Event Administrators, Center Directors and Program Coordinators, life support instructors and assists with staffing the complete set of Center educational and training offerings, to include Tidewater Center for Life Support courses.
Candidate should hold prior experience working in business or health care environment. Associates degree preferred. Computer experience in Microsoft Office software is required. Must be detail‐oriented, flexible, self‐motivated, and self‐directed; able to meet deadlines; a team player with good problem‐solving skills; and willing and able to learn new technologies. Must be proficient working with basic computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to scheduling and general troubleshooting; and, be proficient in the Windows operating system.
