EVMS Medical Group at ODU is seeking a Patient Account Representative. This position performs daily review of charges for accuracy, updates patient demographics, verifies insurance information, obtains authorizations, and manually posts charges into EPIC. Identifies charge issues/opportunities and works with clinical department to make recommendations, resolve issues and enhance charge capture.

• Efficiently and accurately enter charges in EPIC.
• Review and resolve edits in Charge Review workqueues.
• Review and identify resolution for denials.
• Assisting providers with billing/coding issues.
• Updating patient demographics and verifying insurance coverage.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• ICD10 and CPT knowledge, understanding of medical billing, problem solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of patient billing experience. High School diploma or it's equivalent.
