This part-time position facilitates Community Education and Recruitment programs designed by the research team to raise clinical research awareness and increase participation in Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials Consortium (ACTC) studies. Primarily works out in the community with the target populations. Works closely with the researchers, community advisory board and ministerial alliance to implement community education, outreach, engagement and study recruitment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School plus three (3) years of experience in health/social sciences or education. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from researchers and study participants/caregivers. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Having a track record of successful outreach, community organizing, and facilitation skills. Have access to reliable transportation (public and/or private) and be able to travel short-distances frequently. Experience in collection of personal health information (PHI) and phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.
