The Speech Pathologist acts as an active member of the Laryngology and Head and Neck teams. This position works closely with experienced, specialized Otolaryngologists primarily in the outpatient setting, with some inpatient work, exclusively supporting a large academic tertiary referral practice focusing on the evaluation and management of a range of complex voice, airway, and swallowing disorders.
Under the daily supervision of the Practice Manager, and Clinical Supervision of a Psychiatrist, this role functions as a physician assistant within EVMS Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This role will enable the Department Psychiatrists to expand their capacity to perform new patient comprehensive evaluations, and to provide continuous patient care for patients that have established and determined diagnosis.
