The Family Engagement Assistant will coordinate the creation and management of a regional family council for early childhood care and education (ECCE) as part of Ready Region Southeastern.  Ready Regions is a regional network that brings public and private partners together to ensure Virginia’s early childhood system prepares children for success.  Ready Region Southeastern is dedicated to strengthening Southeastern Virginia by fostering equity and opportunity for young children, their families, and all who are dedicated to helping them thrive. This position will work with member agencies- Minus 9 to 5, Smart Beginnings Western Tidewater, and Smart Beginnings Eastern Shore- to develop relationships with parents, community organizations especially public and private childcare, Head Start, and public schools, to support authentic family engagement.
